Local Bookshops

CLC Bookshops, Welling

13 Upper Wickham Ln, Welling DA16 3AA, UK – 020 8301 4641

Lovely little Christian books shop with great staff. You can get a coffee to go here and support less fortunate people around the world by using fair trade tea and coffee.

Falconwood Bookstore

5 Falconwood Parade, Welling DA16 2PL, UK – 020 8303 8291

Great service, Rare Vintage Item found and sent through promptly in well protected packaging. Would definitely recommend.

It was "a find" 30 years ago -- and it manages to remain a revelation in 2017. Wonderful owner provides a friendly (and even witty: a large toy electric train shuttles to and fro above the books) "library" experience. The range of books is _astounding_ and that of valuable and long-cherished old magazines and partworks is mind-blowing! (Okay, so they are not just old!) The wonderful parade of shops allows you to grab a cuppa, refresh -- and get back to browsing! As more and more bookshops close, I am not exaggerating in claiming this to be one of my Top Five calls when visiting the UK and London.

WHSmith

89 Broadway, Bexleyheath DA6 7JN, UK – 020 8301 0802

WHSmith staff are really helpful and nice. Post office staff, well… they need help. Not friendly and not nice. Good store overall, daily newspapers and magazine, books and other WHSmiths bits and bobs.

Very local and has a post office
